Oman is planning to introduce an advance visa requirement for all nationalities in the near future.
Therefore, it is already very inconvenient for travellers who want to obtain a visa on arrival.
Only 1 visa counter is still open, which can result in very long queues and waiting times of 2-4 hours.
If you have booked a hotel transfer, you will definitely miss it, and searching for your suitcase is often very tedious. It is therefore highly recommended that all travellers apply for a visa in advance!

(An identity card/ID is not accepted, and as of recently, NO PRELIMINARY PASSPORT !!!)
You absolutely need a normal passport! This must be valid for at least 6 months at the time of entry and should not contain any stamps from previous trips to Israel.

Unfortunately, it is currently not possible for citizens of KOSOVO, IRAQ, SYRIA, AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN, ALGERIA, ISRAEL, YEMEN, EGYPT, NIGERIA & BANGLADESH to apply for a visa!
